The Mar Monte is an oceanfront boutique hotel that dates back to 1931, when it was opened as Spanish-style hideaway, Vista Mar Monte. Following an extensive remodel that concluded in 2020, the hotel is now part of the Hyatt Unbound Collection. Perfectly situated across the street from East Beach, it is a quick walk to the many bars, coffee shops, and restaurants in the nearby Funk Zone. The Mar Monte features sweeping views of the ocean, Santa Barbara,  and surrounding mountains and has two full service restaurants on site, including an all-day poolside café and bar.
